Friday Finish! Yaay!

I could hear it all week - psst, psssst, pst, psssssssst!
But everytime I looked around, there was nothing there.......

Just getting back to doing something, then there it was again - pssst, psssst, psst, pst!
I finally realized it was the little strip quilt calling me to get it done...

So last night when I couldn't sleep, I done some sewing and finished the top off.

It's pouring with rain outside today, for which I am really grateful - the hot weather has been really draining, so I had to hang the poor thing inside to take a photo. Welcome to my corner - office - sewing room - etc.

The jelly-roll I bought had quite a few more colours in it, but I only went with the softer colours to make something for my daughter.

Now I need to get the back done and then some FMQ (feeling nervous)........

Not really sure which quilting pattern to go with.

This is a bit of a close up of the fabrics. They're so lovely - and that's a big thing for me - I'm usually such a solids kind of person.
Can't remember the name of the fabrics - something sisters......
Can any of you tell me the name again?

Just had to give these cute farmyard animals another show - they're soooooo cute.

Thats not the only reason - I've noticed that some people have commented on the blocks and made some flattering remarks ( for which I'm really grateful!!), they have also said that the blocks look very difficult or that there would be hundreds of tiny pieces.

No so!!
These are intermediate level blocks but I really try to make them as easy assembly segments, and although they look detailed, they are actually not impossible or difficult.
Promise!

All blocks are now available on my Craftsy Shop.

Tomorrow is Feb 1 and I hope that all who are following along with the "In the Garden" BoM are itching to do the next 2 blocks I have lined up.......
Til then.....

  5. Love your strip quilt! (and how it was trying to get your attention . . .). You made a good choice of soft colors. The farmyard grouping looks great too! I like the 4x4 view the best. Will you eventually be bundling these patterns?
