Art Quilt Submission

Blogger's Quilt Festival - Spring 2014

Today I've stumbled across the bloggers quilt festival and I've been jumping up and down to find my Art Quilt - "Monotone Portrait" photos.

This is my 18" x 22" Art Quilt finished earlier this year.

The face was inspired by looking at old black and white photos and realizing how much detail they also bring out. Once I had finished the face, I just had to add something interesting to the background, so the firework display over the city just had to be there too.

This is a paper pieced Art Quilt called " Monotone Portrait " with sewn lines added afterwards.
