Quilt top Finished!

Today I've finished putting my smallish quilt top together and then done a little "stitch in the ditch".
My back is now in uproar!!! No jokes, I feel like jumping up and down like a child throwing a tantrum.....

This mini quilt measues 42" x 42" and now I need to watch my videos again to see how to do the quilting in each block. I think I'm also going to have to do a few practice pieces before I start - know what I mean?...

This was the material I chose out of my stash box. The batik looking fabric is "Fossil Fern by Bernatex" and the rest is "who knows by Janeen".

I had to lay the top onto the floor because it's quite big and my table has too many things on it at the moment.

The quilting actually looks very straight foward but I don't want to mess it up or get crooked lines. I'm thinking of getting myself an invisible ink pen to do some marking.

Remember the "kissing lips mugrug" - well I made another that is 8" big and now the pout looks more pronounced. Looks more like a kiss.

I finished it up and gave it to my husband as a coaster for his desk for Valentines.
Can't say I didn't get him anything........

That's going to be it for today.
Have a wonderful week-end.

Love Fossel Fern! This is going to be great. I stopped using blue ink markers (they dry up so fast!), and now just use washable Crayola markers for all my marking. As long as you plan to wash this!
