The block measures 12" (30cm) and is suitable for an intermediate quilter or even a beginner wanting to try something that is a step up from the usual.
The construction of the block is really very straight foward and put together as a quilt, this block really makes something quite spectacular.
I think it's the colours and the simplicity of the middle flower that makes me think of a night lily.
We used to have a huge cactus growing in our yard and although it was an eyesore, it would produce the most delicate and beautiful big white lily flowers. I guess there is beauty in all things, we need to keep looking for it.
