These blocks make an interesting quilt. The patterns for the blocks are 10" (25cm) and also in 6" (16cm). Each block is divided into 4 and very easy to put together. If you understand basic paper piecing then you will be able to manage this block.
This is the Mixed Chevron Block #1 and the nice pattern it makes.
I love it when something simple can make a quilt or wall hanging look really special and look as if you've worked really hard at it.
This is Block #2
This quilt idea with the white border below has a mix of block #1 and block #2. A nice end result.
All blocks are available in my Craftsy Shop. Stop by and have a look around. Loads of Free patterns too.
Don't forget to grab yourself some FREE tags from the Craftsy site:

This is a block that I'm working on at the moment. It is part of the Abstract Nature Series. This block is 12" x 16" and is more a centre piece in a quilt or a mini wall hanging.
I'm thinking of doing some 'seed beads' onto the middle and bottom part of the ground area to look like crops growing. The quilting on this must bring out those hot sun circles.
This is called 'Hot Summer Sun'.
Here you can see my start to the project. I'll post more photos when all is done.
Don't forget you can also post your photos of finished blocks using QADesigns on our Flickr Pool. The button is on the right side of the blog. Thanks.
Enjoy your Monday .........

Love your abstract nature block...so beautiful!
You are so creative! I think my favourite is the block number one. I agree with you, I love the repetition of simple patterns in art that give an overall feeling of complexity.
I really like the mix of the two blocks with the white border. I could possibly achieve that one if I put my mind to it, but the hot sun one blows my mind! I am in awe of quilters who can do this kind of work :)
