Octagon Flowers

I've been wanting to try something different for a while, so when I saw a quilt with hexagon flowers, I decided to 'tweak' it a little and this flower looking pattern was the result.

This block is actually an octagon with a 1/4 of the background on each corner. The program won't let me create other shapes - only squares.

The block measures 6" (16cm) and is so easy it's childs play. There are only 2 segments in each block - so that means quick and easy (works for me!). There are NO points coming together in the middle on this block.

All blocks are available at my Craftsy Shop.

Here are 2 different mini quilt ideas. The one on the right has an extra piece that looks almost like a shadow on the flower.

Both piecing patterns for the flower are in the same pattern info sheet.

The E-Book Drive really needs some help. Please consider helping out by buying one of the books. The proceeds from October will go to BCancer Awareness. The E-Book Page is on the top bar of the Blog.

Thank you.

These lovely little tags can be printed out and attached to a gift you have made. They are Free and available on Craftsy.
