Farmyard Blocks

I think I could do with some of that snow people are talking about....

We are experiencing really hot weather here at the moment. Last night when I decided to go to bed - around 11:00pm the temperature was 25 deg C. I've always loved the sun and the good weather we have here in SA but I think I'm just getting 'old' - I want winter to roll around........

Anyway enough of that! I have 2 cute blocks to introduce to you today.

This is Li'l Lamb

Everybodys favourite, secretly a lot naughty, loves to headbutt anything not looking - blames it on the goat. Hoping to be a luchador when he grows up.

Next, meet - Pig

Very shy, wouldn't even look at the camera, not related to Babe, hates spiders! all of them! Always hungry.... who knows why?

All these cute blocks are 12" (30cm) and on the Intermediate Level. I was thinking of getting up to 6 blocks before I post them to Craftsy. This week-end I''m going to be working some magic or other.

Have a Gr8 week-end!

These are adorable. Living on a farm, they really do appeal to me. I am wondering if my paper piecing ability would let me do these. I would love to make a table runner from them. SOSOSOOSO cute and whimsical. genie

Oh you have me quietly giggling with your personality descriptions again. Keep them coming! And those commenters above, do try paper piecing. My very first attempt was the drumbeats block by Soma, which is very advanced. I was determined to make it for my son-in-law and it came out great! Best advice is to just go slow. It really is fun to see these take shape as you work on them.

If you want snow, come visit me! We've had over 5" of snow this week. I'm pretty sick of it. I've been working on your and Kristy's BOM, and they're going well. I'm a beginner paper piecer you know! I'm having fun!

I think I love the lamb most. When I first saw the bull, I smiled and thought of my daughter, who is a Taurus. LOL
