These little soldiers all needed trimming down for the HST BoM for June....
After sewing all the HST's together I needed to cut them and get them ready for sewing.
There you go - all neat and tidy..... now to finish it up...
My Postcard needed to be finished off - This is the Triangle Mesh pattern I've added to my Craftsy shop. It comes with 2 different sizes and is paper pieced.
This is where we started -
I made smaller 2,5" squares. Very quick to put them together.
This pattern is so easy, I think you could put a whole quilt top together in a week-end.
The two rows were joined together and it was already big enough!
It looks as if you're looking through a window and can see the bushes outside. I was wishing I had some lovely fabrics that looked like kids playing or something similar to add as a background. Oh well, I'll have to go back to the fabric shop......
I also made a back for my postcard....
The binding was added on last - believe me this is the last time I do it this way for a postcard!!
The tiny binding was driving me nuts...
Here we have the finished result. Not too bad.
My son decided that this was his and off it went to his room to be used as a mug-rug.
Now I have to make another to send to my friend...that's okay, now I know where to improve my design and go look for nicer fabrics.
I've also started to do the quilting on my Pixel Quilt Top - Pattern also now on Craftsy.
I found some really great masking tape - with a cute measuring tape design on it ... and I use it to help with sewing straight lines.
It's so sweet, you almost don't want to use it...
That's it .... I need to get going....
Have a good Wip Wednesday ...

Good for you getting all those hst's trimmed and ready for June! Love the new pp design. Yes, I agree. Binding something that small with traditional binding is a big pain. What cute masking tape!
Love the green and blue. The pixel quilt looks fun, too!
I love HSTs, nice piles in your place! Love that masking tape! Not sure about the combo on your postcard so I'm looking forward different combo, wink.
