This time we have a "Quiet Landscape" - measuring 120cm x 90cm = (36" x 52")
This is again on the easy intermediate level
A quiet country scene with a gentle river and a church with a sheep grazing peacefully.....
cue classical music......
;)
This type of quilting is much more structured but still offers the feel of "art". The paper piecing aspect of it helps to get the 'picture' to come alive without having to do traditional quilt piecing.
Once finished you can always go Free Motion Quilt crazy on the top.
I'm thinking of making this into an E-Book from the start (large pattern)....
The sections are large so I'm thinking this quilt top could be done over 4 - 5 week-ends.
Anyone up for making a "Art Quilt Landscape"??

What a delightful design. Congratulations.
I think the geometric feel of the water and pasture are great. You made paper piecing work well for yourself.
