Fun on the Week-End!

Well now that it's Friday, I have a little news:

Next year starting January we will be doing the Block of the Month again -
the theme is Oceans and will consist of only 9 blocks but the size will be 14" each.

These blocks will be for an Intermediate and Advanced quilter or paper piecer and may be a little too hard for beginners.

**************************

To combat that problem, I have decided to make a
Block of the Month for Beginners.
We will start at the very beginning and work our way through making a "Geometric Shapes" quilt - all made with paper piecing.

These blocks are aimed at someone who would love to learn paper piecing and also make something that is useful while they're still in those "early days".
I am busy finishing up with a UTube video series for this beginner quilt that will go with it as a tutorial. Everything will be available here on the blog in January.

Each month we will make and practice shapes using the paper piecing technique and by the 9th month we will finish up and have a fantastic quilt made with our blocks. The size will be approximately 36".

Block of the Month will work exactly the same as before. The block will be available for FREE for the month that it is released and after that it needs to go to the shop and earn a little of its keep.
The beginner blocks will remain a Free Project for all who would like to learn.

I hope you all join in the fun and even make a few of the blocks too.

Love the message in a bottle! Makes me quite envious of Robinson Crusoe.
