Week 11 - Forest QAL

Hello everyone!
Its already week 11 of the Forest Quilt A Long.....

not long now.....

Let's have a look what to do this week

Plan your colours and write it onto the paper section you are working on. This week there are quite a few fat mice in the tree.

NB Note!!
Piece DB has a "numbering" problem.

Piece 10 and 11 should be Number 1 and 2.
You need to work it from there and not the way I have it on the piece or you will also have to cut off that section, add a seam and resew it to the main section......

Just start from 11 and work backwards - so much easier.

Once all the sections were sewn, I started to sew them together.

The mouse on the bottom got a "pink" outfit, so stop looking at her all wierd.....
She's trying something ....

Now it waits for Week 12 where it will all be sewn up and finished off.

So colourful!
I really love this one!

I also changed my fat mouse in the bottom corner to be more of a Squirrel. I added a diagonal line onto the corner and now it looks like a bushy tail.

I hope you're all still furiously busy with finishing up your art quilts....
That's it for today!

*****************

I must show you my new "de-stress" arts and crafts time waster I found....

This is a photo of a painted stone by Elspeth McLean. (saw it on Utube) Gorgeous!!

And this is a photo of my painted stones (to be used as paper weights on my desk) by Janeen van Niekerk...

Not quite the same, but still pretty....

                             Have a Great Day!!
