WIP Wednesday

A while ago my friend Jan from Sew Surprising made herself a gorgeous wall hanging of a cupboard with plates and cups etc. Really lovely!! and then I also wanted one.....

So I got busy designing a cupboard with plates and dishes - paper pieced - but of course and this is my finished design...

The whole thing measures 52 x 76"

Now I need to go and find some fabric that will make the wood of the cupboard stand out... maybe also a few 'fussy cut' pieces for jars and so on...

I can also divide it into 2 halves and only do the top if needs be...

The bottom of my cupboard has doors with glass, so I can even change up the background colour for that half.....

Let me know what you think....

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow, it looks wonderful! The whole quilt will be fabulous, but I can also envision lots of smaller projects from some of the individual blocks. Super!

Too, too cute! The possibilities are endless! Though a little large for my kitchen, it is something I'd love to make for 'someday' ...

Great idea, clever and a useful kitchen 'deco' piece....you can use a very light vinyl for windows in lower portion!

that's quite a project, janeen! best wishes on it. getting the fussy cut pieces for your jars and plates will be fun, i bet.

oh Janeen, this looks just wonderful.I think it is a brilliant design. I like that is a bit messy. In dutch I would call it "speels", maybe you understand that? It will look wonderful when it is finished.

I like it. Great idea, but sure looks like a lot of work. I don't think it is a beginner project.:-)
