WIP Wednesday

Today I was sewing my 'Snapshot' mini and I'm really pleased with the way things turned out...

This is the block without the borders and doesn't look too bad as is...

After adding the white borders for the snapshot look, it measures 10"

On another different note, a few people have been asking about how the "glue edge" on some of the patterns works...

Each of the 'chopped' pieces has a corresponding number which needs to be joined. The software decides this so that it can 'fit' a pattern piece onto a page for printing.

What I do is find the two friends then cut off one side which says glue edge #1

Now I place the side with the cut off bit over the other glue edge side...
All the lines must match up
Now I take a bit of tape and stick it down.

You need to remember that the line made by the glue-ing or the taping is not a sewing line.

Also - if you use glue, you need to wait until it dries before you can sew that piece.
Don't iron over the tape because its a well known fact that irons and tape have a long standing feud...
And that is that....

 *******************************
On a further note -

Ive made our 6th landscape pattern - it has a winter feel and will be available once the end of the year rolls around.

Our
Landscape QuiltaLong will start in February (Feb 2 and then each Thursday on the blog as we progress along)

Each of the rows will be on a 1.5 -2 month work schedule. No rush.

Each landscape measures 40 x 12" (129x31cm).

You can make all the landscapes or just those you really like...
Im going to add them one by one to my Craftsy shop as we need to make them.

More info and the Instructions to come soon....

I hope you're all going to join me for this one...

Your designs are so beautiful! You are so prolific! I am still working on Koala Bear. Hope to join in on the Landscapes too. Thank you for the clarification on joining traced units.

More fabulous patterns to come. Yippee! Your work is amazing. Probably beyond my capability at the moment but amazing.

I LOVE the new QAL rows! I'm so excited to get started, I can't wait. I just finished putting together the blocks for the Gingerbread Village. I'm not very good with applique, but I picked up a few iron on embroidered patches to spruce it up a little. Thank you for all the designs! Happy piecing.

I like landscape 6 a lot and wonder if it will be available as a single pattern.

Washi tape works really well to join the pieces together. Since it's made of paper, it won't stick to the iron. Beautiful patterns!
