Weekend Project

Hi there everyone...

Today we're carrying on with our Weekend Projects

This time we will be making a Postcard - from Fabrics...

Here's a look at some of the postcards I've made and sent all over the place....

This was a trapunto butterfly...

With this van, I copied the picture onto fabric through my copy machine.... wasn't sure if it would work and then FMQ'ed around the van and made a few wavy lines...

This one was a paper piecing design of a lake reflection that I reduced in size.

A more 'artsy' one with flowers cut out, stuck down and then some FMQ all over to look like a garden background...

For the edges, you can go any direction...

You can make your own binding or even just do a satin stitch around it or like this one I found on the web, it has a crocheted edge - very interesting....

For our Week-end Project-  I have made a Crocus Flower pattern at 5x7" (13x18cm) for you to have a 'try'...
You can download the pattern HERE...<<<<

Have a wonderful Week-end!!
I'm off to do some cake tasting with my daughter tomorrow.... can't wait!!

I've started a QA Designs Group  on Facebook where you are welcome to join and add any of your finished blocks made with the QADesigns patterns. I really love to see them all.

Thank you! I used to make postcards to swap and also to send as birthday cards to grandchildren but life got in the way and I stopped. It would be fun to start again. They are usually so appreciated.
