Fridays Block

I'm still exactly where I am since Wednesday - undecided about which block to make next for the BoM "in the Garden". So I designed another one - entirely different and that's the one we will go with.  More on that next week......

Today I didn't want to start anything new, so I've just sat here and played with the design program, coming up with a few different looks for triangles.

This design is actually so 'easy' or 'simple' but makes a wonderful overall picture if you have a whole quilt full of them.

I imagine you could make the backgrounds all a different colour as well.

Here' another just with the bottom edge in a darker colour and it makes the X over the middle look almost 3D and standing above the green block background.

This finished quilt look makes me want to make this as a minature - or maybe as a postcard.....

These are triangles with a more modern twist to them. They look great in bright modern colours too.

My picture looks so 'fuzzy' but you get the idea of how the modern triangles would make a wonderful cushion or wall hanging

This is another triangle idea. I think this one would be better made large.
The spinning wind mill look gives this one great movement.

These are 2 of my old designs with spinning triangles
I just love the way that your eye follows the edges all the way around the design.

Have a great sewing week-end!

I love that first one, the design and the colorway! You should totally sew it up! I'd love to see you join us at Inspire Us Thursdays: Sew Needle Stitch Hook on www.theinspiredwren.com.

I love the first design too, very eyecatching as a repeat in a larger quilt!
