Wanderlust BOM February

Hello
Today is the turn of the
Wanderlust Block of the Month

This month we will be visiting the Netherlands.

Our landmark we will be sewing is at Kinderdijk. A series of windmills that is now a UNESCO Heritage site.
Our February block was sewn up for us by Yvonne ten Wolde from the Netherlands. Thank you so very much. Your block turned out beautiful!!

The block measures 18" (46cm) and is on the Intermediate level

Making yourself a fabric key is an important part of the preparation work.
Once the pieces are all cut and laid out, you will need to join some with tape to their corresponding numbers.
I also like to write onto the pieces the number of the colour Im using or the name - just as you prefer.

Once all the sections are made, you can start joining them together.

Make sure to line up the pieces that continue through on the mills and the tops with the bottom

Second part of the mills - the smaller mills in the distance are a little trickier - they have smaller pieces, but NO FEAR - it is do-able.
Slowly does it.

This is our finished Windmills at Kinderdijk, Netherlands

******************************

The block is FREE for February and is available in my Craftsy shop.

I hope you have fun with your blocks!

The BOM information is in the button to the right of the blog where you can also find the BOM buttons if you would like to spread the word. Thanks
