Hello to everyone!
Today is our Wanderlust Block of the Month for November.
Wow, we have almost come to the end of our trip. Ive been having a lot of fun creating these blocks for you and I've learned a lot about each of the landmarks too.
We're in New York - USA and of course we need to make a stop at the....
Statue of Liberty....
My friend Joan Wintersgill of Texas, USA made this block for me. Thanks Joan, I love it dearly!!!
This block is a more advanced block. Not because it has anything unusual to it, it just has a lot of pieces.
I think the thing to remember with a block that has a lot of pieces - is that Rome wasn't built in a day....
Go slowly and sew small sections when you have time and soon you will reach a point where you can start joining the sections and really start to see this block come together for you.
The statue is very grey but also shades of turquoise greens from the oxidation.
Here is our amazing block all sewn together - Simply wonderful!
I really hope you all enjoy sewing the block together.
The BOM is free for the month that it was presented and is available in my Craftsy Shop as a PDF download.
*** I have replaced the October block (Rio and the Christ Statue) in my shop to a PDF and will leave it as a free block for another week.
After the fiasco that was Craftsy for October, I think a lot of people have the zipped file of the block and it doesn't seem to want to open. Just go and download it from the shop again and it should all be fine...
Wow, almost at the end of our journey. What an eventful year it has been. I hope you have all had a good time too.

What a lovely new block. You created a very special Block of the Month project this year. It is beautiful!
Wow. I love all of these blocks Janeen! Thank you for your generosity. I'm missing a few and would like to know what the names of the blocks are.
Numbers 1-3 and 5. Thank you!
I have added the Statue of Liberty to my cart and added it to my patterns, but it won't download. The same goes for the bity pig. I have informed Craftsy, but have not heard back from them.
