WIP Wednesday....

I've frantically been trying to catch up with a few of the blocks I need to sew, and I'm happy to report that I finished the first block in my Landscape Row....

Yaaaay for me! I went with the clouds fabric for the sky, so it made a lot of head scratching moments when it came to directional piecing. I didn't have to rip any out..... phew!!

Now I've laid out the next section onto my desk, but I need to first finish a few commissions...

I like to do it this way so that I get a good visual of what I'm supposed to do without having to constantly be looking at the instructions.

I just need to draw in some direction arrows for the sky fabric and then its sewing time!

Here is how I join the two pieces of the pattern that have been cut in half by the software. Each has a corresponding number. I like to cut off one of those 'glue edge' tabs and then stick it down with tape over the other and line up the segments. You can also use glue if you like but it must be dry before you sew it. Also, remember that you can't iron over the paper side where the tape is - tape and iron don't mix.....

That's it for now

I hope you're all busy with your Landscape Row #1....
I've seen one of them finished and its fabulous!!

*** I forgot to do the instructions for the magazine patterns, so Im furiously doing those too, as soon as they're done, I'll send out the patterns to the testers. Thanks so much.
