Hello there to everyone!!
Today certainly is going to be a busy day!
We have the last in the Block of the Month babies as well as the start to our 12 Days of Christmas blocks.
Let's start with our BoM - Wild Babies....
This is our last block for the year on this theme.... makes me a little sad because they were so cute and so many babies didn't get in.
I hope you have all had fun with these cute animal blocks and have managed to make a few of them...
I'm still not sure on what to make for next year, but we will be having something amazing coming in January.....
For December we have a sweet little Red Panda cub.
Our zoo here in Pretoria has a few of these cuties... they're not always visible because they sleep most of the day away, but when you do get to see them they melt your heart. Such cute little faces....so fuzzy.....
I was watching a video a few days ago on FB from the Cincinnati Zoo where they were discussing and feeding the Red Pandas...oh my goodness, such a cuteness overload...
Our cute block was sewn up for us by Joan Wintersgill of Texas. She had already finished it so long ago that I had to go and make sure yesterday and I wasn't just thinking it...
Thanks Joan, I love it! its really so very cute!
Thanks to everyone who helped with making a block this year - I really appreciate all your help.
The block measures 16" (41cm) and is on the intermediate level. I really hope you enjoy this one too!
The block is available in my Craftsy shop.... FREE for December.
**************************
Today is also the start of the 12 Days of Christmas....
I didn't want to make another Seasonal background pattern this year - because they don't sell very well during the rest of the year and I need to sell patterns to make any money...
So - I decided I wanted something that could say "Christmas" but also be used in other quilts during the year too - Maybe for the grandkids or even your own little ones...
This year my theme for the 12 Days blocks is "Toys"
The blocks will be running until the 18 December.
No blocks on the weekends....
This is a look at where I'm going with these patterns.
The 12 blocks that surround the center block will be our One Day Free patterns and the Horse will be sold in my Craftsy shop when we are finished with the 12 Days. I tried to make blocks that were for both boys and girls.
All smaller blocks measure 10" (26cm) and the larger center block measures 20" (51cm).
These 12 patterns will be put into my Craftsy shop and as usual they will be free for a period of 24 hours. I will post the new one at 9.00am here where I live in SA and once it gets back to me the next day it will then be on sale.
For our First Day of Christmas we have a DRUM... a very cute block.
The block measures 10" (26cm) and is on the Intermediate Level.
Get your block here in my Craftsy Shop.
(its Saturday now, and so it will be on sale)
Next one on Monday!!
I hope you enjoy sewing them all up!
Marian from Seams to be Sew is also having a 12 Days this year so be sure to pop over to her blog to see what she has for you too.
Don't fret if her blog only shows up much later it's just a matter of time zones.
(when you open the shop.... click on the right side menu and press NEWEST.... then everything will show up)

Thank you, Thank you, Janeen! They are soooo cute!
Ciao Silvana
Love your blocks for 12 Days. Really love the idea that they can be used year round. Thank you Janeen.
A good idea to have something not completely seasonal that works for seasonal, too. I like the entire idea. Will the set be available AS a set at the end of the 12 days? Thank you, I missed it on the first and will have to buy it at the end, I think. Yes, I know. I don't paper piece. LOL Just such a cute idea.
thank you love the look of your blocks Can't wait till next one MY favorites
