May Beg BOM

Hello All!

Today has been such a rush to get everything done!
Everything I wanted to do on the week-end had to take a back seat...

My daughter fell down a smallish flight of stairs on Saturday and my husband and I have spent ALL weekend with her at the hospital. A bone in her hand was broken so that had to be operated on. Luckily for her only bruises anywhere else.

What a shlep!!! I honestly wonder why its called an Emergency Room if all you do there is wait..... for hours before anything happens!!

This was us waiting for the operation to be done...
Today she is back home and now the healing process begins.

Anyhoo, Lets get on with something nicer.
Today is our Beginner Block of the Month turn.

The block this month is 6 x 12"

We will need to make 2 of these blocks. In the "plan" you can see we swopped #4 and #5 blocks, so this month we have done the top and bottom longer blocks.

After laying the templates out, I wrote onto them which colours I would like to use.

you can change up the colours just as you like.

The sections were then all sewn together and I decided to even give mine a little twist and put one of the small blocks behind the log cabin piece.

This is my block so far.

The smaller corner blocks are sewn together and the one middle piece block will now wait for the month when there is another long block to join it.

The patterns will be on my Beg BoM page.
Smaller size in the GDrive download and bigger size in the Craftsy download.

Have a great day!

What a shock for your daughter. I hope her hand heals well. Best wishes for you all!
As to quilting: I was still wondering how I would like the border of my little quilt of love. Now I think you might have solved my problem with your beginners BOM. Thank you.
