Its time for a FUN Friday!
I wanted to show you all a project I've been working on since the beginning of January.
I'm sure it would have gone a lot faster if I didn't have a thousand others to also get done....
It's a Charley Harper Swap that I'm part of. It was on Instagram and I threw my name into the hat too. Here's a few photos of the progress.....
This was the first Bobcat...
I designed the pattern from the image of the Bobcat from Charley Harper.
The eye section ....
no, it wasn't that hard.....
and then there was a face....
Problem....
I don't do FMQ that much, so I suck at it...
and I didn't want to mess it up.
I decided to rather just go with the lines of the whiskers....
I really need to order myself a few labels to add to the quilts...
I just pinned a name that I sewed onto a piece of fabric for now, but I'm still not too sure..
Anyone know where I can get some labels that aren't too expensive but still look good?
*************************
The second pattern I made was another Bobcat (because I couldn't decide on which one my partner would like)...
This one really was going along quite quickly....
I just struggled to find fabric that matched the artwork poster...
I divided the work into 4 large sections and here you can see that 3 of them are already done...
Now for the home stretch and every other thing now needs to get done first...
Isn't that just typical?
Housework you are sooooo selfish!!
I'm busy with the eyes and ears next and slowly but surely it will get done!!!
So many have asked about the patterns, but I don't think I'm allowed to sell them. They're both copies of Charley Harper's work. I don't know, will give it a think...
*************************
*** Great News!!
This next week I'm going to go to the Kruger National Park with my Hubby, so I won't be at home until the following Monday..... Oh, I cannot wait!! I really need some time away from my computer...
I will take my iPad, so that I can see emails etc.
I'm planning on making a few videos of the place and the animals too, and will try to upload them to the blog for everyone to see.
When I get back I will be asking the pattern testers to help with the new batch of patterns I've made....
****************************
Now it's your turn....
What have you been up to and busy with these last weeks??
Link your photos and lets have a look. Thanks.

I'm a fan of Charley Harper as well as paper piecing. I adore this project. Your swap partner will be absolutely delighted to receive it!
Love your Charley Harper patterns. Just a thought. If you give the designs free they let you share them. I know that's what Fandom in Stitches does with her Harry Potter & other designs. Just a thought. I've enjoyed just seeing them too. Beautiful work.
I am so envious of your trip to Kruger. I watch the Live Safari every night. I hope you see Queen Karula and her cubs. Enjoy, enjoy!
These patterns are amazing and your fabric choices are spot as well -- so impressive!
Love your bobcat! I ordered labels from https://ikaprint.com/ that Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts posted about. They came fast and are very nice. Reasonable, too!
Love your blocks !! U tube has some very interesting tutorials on making labels. They look pretty easy, I haven't tried any yet.

I love Charley Harper - your fabric version is great!
I messed up my project link by somehow hitting the post link too soon - sorry for the lack of proofreading. It was unintentional!

So absolutely AMAZING!!! Your work is always so beautiful.
Count me in if you are ever given permission to share those patterns. I love Charley Harper's designs and they lend themselves to perfectly to quilts.
I love your Charles Harper designs, it's a shame they can't be sold. It'd look wonderful alongside your previous woodland design. Either way, great work! It's quite lovely.
Where can I find the pattern for the stingray block?
I love both of the bobcat blocks so much!! I've been enjoying your vacation photos on Instagram as well.
