Hello to everyone around the world!
I am really grateful that you all visit and enjoy the patterns along with me, laughing at the silly jokes etc.
Unfortunately
why there must always be that one person, that one passenger, that one person in the line that MUST make life unbearable for everyone else......
This is the kind of emails and comments that I receive on a daily basis....
Again! Your email was received at 4:54 PM Tuesday. Today at 8:11 AM I tried to get the monster pattern and it was priced at $3.00. PLEASE, keep the free pattern for 24 hours from the time the emails are received in the USA. Otherwise, I will have to resort to saving the picture and creating my own version in EQ. Judy Morin

Dear Judy Morin
Im sorry that my time table doesn't suit you. I live in South Africa and I post a new block at 09H00 each morning. That means it was given 24 hours around the world and not 24 hrs in the USA...
Why do you wait for the email. Why not just go and look on Craftsy. My time zone is 6hrs ahead of New York. Work out when you would need to go and download it from the shop.
Please DO NOT threaten me. I don't take things like that lightly. Creating your own version would be copyright infringement and is generally called STEALING and against the LAW!!!
I realize I can't stop you, but that just shows your level of integrity.
Janeen van Niekerk

Boo! to YOU & "Thank YOU!" Enjoying the Halloween Bloggin`
Does Judy Morin honour that you are offering your patterns so often for FREE ??? Those ungrateful people are acidly - you do a GREAT job, do not let you bothered by such mails or comments
Embrace you
Ulrike
Wow! How rude! Thanks so much for the great patterns!
Thank you for today's pattern! I have enjoyed them immensely!
I'm so sorry you had to deal with this!
I'm in the US, and I check your blog first thing each morning. Thank you so much for the Halloween series! And please know not every American is so rude.
Good Grief! Ignore her if you can, I know it's not easy.
I agree with Elisa's note above - not every American is so rude.
Thank you for all you do.
Hi Janeen,
just wanted to thank you for your great patterns! It's generous to give them away for free! I can't believe that anyone could blame you for the timespan you give for free downloads. If I'd miss a block, I would buy it, if thought, I needed it. I missed the usual fun in your post today and I can feel how it hurt you, that your work is not appreciated. I'm sorry for that and just want to let you know, that I love your blocks and your blog! ❤
I too am in the US and get your patterns first thing in the morning, and I appreciate and love them all!
Ugh, some people are just never happy. I appreciate all your patterns and generosity. If I missed one, I would happily buy it because I know the time and effort that you put into these patterns. Your patterns are the best!
I really enjoy your monster blocks! Thank you so much!
Judy is a cranky pants and should be thankful and grateful that you share so much. I appreciate your generosity - thank you from Canada!
That was so unbelievably rude!! I've missed a few myself and have learned to adjust my timing or purchase it, but to threaten you...I am so sorry that it happened.
Thank you for being so generous with your time, talent, and creativity don't let people like her spoil it. I love your patterns so, thank you again!
Oh yes - P.S. - I too would pay for a pattern, without complaint, if I missed the free offer. I think most of us would do so because most of us are NOT cranky pants :)
I totally agree with Elisa. I moved from Germany to the US West Coast - of course, I am aware of the 9h between us 😁. I also check your blog first thing in the morning. Love the Halloween patterns! Thank you so much! I truly hope you don't take this rudeness personally. When I read this email a quote of Einstein came to my mind, "There are two things which are infinite, the stupidity of humans and the universe. However, I am not sure about the latter."
Wow...all I can say is Wow. Just when you think you have heard all the rude stories, this one comes along. Hang in there and do not let one bad apple spoil the bunch. The vast majority of crafters are truly appreciative of free patterns that designers provide on the web, myself included.
Thank you for this adorable monster. He is so fun.
I usually go to your site early in the morning. wink wink I love your site
I am so sorry you have to deal with these kind of people.
I wish I could help you with this. In my prayers.
I thank you so much for all that you do for us with free patterns and fun and so much more. Thank you :)
Thank you for sharing so much!
When I miss a block it is my own fold I am almost ashamed that someone is complaining...
Some people are just too lazy to get up early for a "great deal" and think time revolves around their schedule.
Love my little "monsters"!! And all the others I have purchased and the freebies!
Thank you so much for all you do! You are so creative and generous with your patterns. I also live in North American (Canada) and have also missed some patterns but it is my own problem and is totally worth it to purchase.
Hope you have a wonderful day/week. . . . know that you are so appreciated!!
:D <3 <3
Hi Janeen, I'm sorry that not everyone can appreciate your work. I want to start off by letting you know that I do. I check your site every day to see what you're up to. I adore your patterns, and I am so thankful that you offer them for free. I also really enjoy all the extra cutesy bits you add to your posts. I always look forward to them. They light up my day. Everything you offer is a wonderful gift, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Jewel
Wow- some people are so ungrateful! I live right in the center of the US and never seem to have problem picking up your patterns.
Hi Janeen, I think 24 hours are 24 hours and any time difference does not change that. It really is Judy's problem and not yours. The best thing you could do is deleting her from your mailing list...
Thanks for all your patterns, it is so lovely that designers share their passion and inspiration.
sorry for the ignorance of hopefully just a few, I think your designs are wonderful and very unique, thanks for giving away a few for free.
I'm sorry about this email and I feel with you, but I think most of the people can not understand the statement of this person.
I like your patterns so much and I say a big thank you for all your work. If I miss a pattern I can buy it. The prices are really fine for such a lot of work.
Thank you very much for all the designs and I love your blog and your work.
Don't hear of this kind of people.
Claudia
Thank you for all your hard work and for generously sharing your free patterns.
I love all your designs!
Seriously? Jeesh! Someone is going to be getting more tricks in their goodie bag than treats this Halloween if there is any justice in the universe!
Wow, some people think they deserve everything for free.
Thank YOU, Janeen! You are so generous with all the free designs you provide throughout the year. If I waited for the emails, I would never get any of them as I some times don't receive the email until the following day. When you are doing a daily free design I go directly to your blog. If I miss a freebie that I want, I simply purchase it. Your designs are of the utmost quality and they are very worth the price paid.
How rude!!!! I and others appreciate your time and generosity in sharing your patterns. Please don't let a _itchy person get you down. Again, thanks for your time and generosity.
Carmen
You can't satisfy everyone so you don't need to let someone like her get to you. You stated very clearly it is YOUR 24-hours not hers or anyone else's. You are the one giving it away. You get to make the rules. Judy is one very ungracious person. I have missed free patterns before for various reasons (forgetting to check, not being where I can access a computer and download it, etc. and I don't expect the giver to make exceptions for me. If I want it badly enough, then I will purchase it.
Thanks for another cute pattern and please have a nice day despite Judy and others like her.
Hi Janeen
The best thing you can do is - ignore and forget what Judy said. She is not worth the distress you experience.
As you know, I live not too far from you. The funny thing is, just like most of the people that commented here, I too check your blog first thing every morning. LOL Regardless of the fact that I'm in the same time zone, your blog is my first stop every morning.
So, do not let one negative person's comment discourage you. Your work is amazing and we LOVE your patterns. I appreciate every pattern you share with us for free and gladly buy a pattern I missed and want.
Have a wonderful day, relishing in the fact that we LOVE your work and appreciate you.
Ronelle
You are awesome! Thank you for sharing with us!!! I really do appreciate your generosity and patterns!!
Thank you for making your patterns paid and free. I really enjoy your work and blog! Your very kind and generous to have A window of time that they are free. I live in the US in Washington and your blog comes with plenty of time to download the monsters. Thanks again
Wow! So sorry that people are so rude!!!!!!! I for one love reading your page and seeing the monsters. If she has enough time to harass online then she has time to find Craftsy and download the pattern. My personal feeling is if I miss one, oh well, I do without or purchase the pattern. Thank you for all you do in the quilting and sewing community! God Bless and have a great day.
Personally, if she could draw it in EQ, why bother to even email... It is sad that people like that have to ruin your day and I know personally that they do, the email lingers in your mind for quite some time after it happens. You just have to find a way to ignore it and I applaud the method in which you chose to reply. If she doesn't know enough to know you live in Africa, and that she has to follow your timezone if she wants a free pattern, then so be it. Try to shrug it off Janeen and let it go... Love ya!!
Thanks for the wonderful monster - this one is a great take on the concept of cyclops!
