Elephant Landscapes

Hello there everyone...

After a few hard and horrible weeks behind me (loads of ugly family drama),
I've finished most of the patterns that will be part of the December "Days of Christmas" which will start on 3 December and run to 13 December.

Each day (not weekends) I'll be having the '12 days' but this time with a difference.

I made 9 patterns that follow after the "Twas the night before Christmas" story.
Each day I'm giving away a free pattern that will last for 24 hours after I publish my blog post.

I'm 6 hours ahead of New York time zone - so plan your time accordingly.

Once the new one gets published, the old one will be for a small fee in my Craftsy shop. Same as every year.

Then I've also done the Magazine Issue #20 for January patterns and sent them out for testing.

and also finally decided on a Theme for January '19 Block of the Month.

Each month we will do ONE letter of the Alphabet showing an 'odd' animal that doesn't get a lot of publicity.  This BOM will last 2 years with us making 13 blocks each year.

I've also wanted to make a few new Landscapes that can be used on their own as a wall hanging or in a quilt with Rows. I have a few planned - all with African animals and the grasslands.

This is the first one:  Elephants in Landscape.  It measures 55x16" (Approx 139x42cm) and is on the Intermediate level.

This one is already in my Craftsy Shop.

I'm now thinking of waiting for January to start sewing on this one. Gives me time to find the fabrics etc. in December. Maybe a sew a long.......?

I've started a QA Designs Group  on Facebook where you are welcome to join and add any of your finished blocks made with the QADesigns patterns. I really love to see them all.

You have been busy! I look forward to The Night Before Christmas blocks. I have a couple little granddaughters; the "almost 4" year old would love them.

I can't wait for anything you do for us! A sew along would be great, and I love the African animals, but some tips on finding appropriate fabrics for them. Jadahlgr at Yahoo dot com
